If you look at the govt. job openings that close in March, April, and May it would appear that Barksdale has it. Otherwise there would be no reason for all of the contracting jobs.

I am thrilled too. I think this will bring a lot of people and new jobs to the area. This was a big deal and it is unusual for Louisiana to be in the running even - much less win.

Does anyone know when the announcement will be made? I am certainly hoping it ends up in Bossier.

Oh, I am not doubting you. I am just saying from the articles I have seen they just are on the sidelines watching and hoping - not really a consideration.

Actually the only competitor mentioned in the article today is Nebraska. Apparently the others are not seriously being considered at this time - but, in politics everything is subject to change.

I am keeping my fingers crossed as well. I would love to jump ship to this project if there are any good opportunities. I am sure they will need accounting people as well.
