Don Chuy is for sale too! Texmex places struggling too. Maybe Buc-ees and the sports complex can save it all.
How do the Tex-mex options survive? They laundering money or providing better food and service?
Monjuni’s , Little Pizzoli’s didn’t make it on the Italian front. Roma’s does ok. Seafood-not many options other than fried, Scott’s old location will soon be a medical clinic. We have some decent...
Bad Wolf or Hot Rods?
I’ve heard rumor of grown up green icee time, but haven’t seen any movement. Food choices are definitely limited in Ruston.
Sundown is for sale too. Too much debt, inconsistent food, and shit service is a bad combination.
Not enough room for expansion? Not enough street lights?
Just wondering, who is the concessionaire for the sports complex and how was that contract awarded?
I can’t wait for the Beaver vs. Blizzard race at all Tech home football games. Section OO will be excited about the free brisket sandwiches!
All DQ logos have been pulled. Temporary closed sign still showing.
DQ has pulled all signage from the building outside the complex. I guess that’s what happens when agreeing to a limited menu that doesn’t compete with the complexes concessionaire.
You are right, probably get them from existing businesses in Ruston. Where will the existing businesses find replacement workers? People going to move to Ruston for a 16-17 dollar/hr job?
The new building in front of Hobby Lobby,TJ Max hasn’t had a single tenant since it was built. Shopping center next to gas station on Farmerville Hwy is empty too. Quick trip is doing site work,...
So is it safe to safe all the development that was going to come as a result of the complex isn’t going to happen? Bowling alley, lazy river, hotels?
Any real numbers on the economic impact of Monster Moto or the complex? Both projects were going to be huge for Ruston. DQ right outside of complex entrance is temporarily closed for some reason,...
From the same article:
Walker said an economic development study would be done soon to better project the financial impact.
“We have heard $10M a month in sales,” said Walker. “Then we heard $4M...
Comparing what happened in Terrell,TX to Ruston,La is just a terrible comparison. It’s like comparing the Tanger Outlet mall in Terrell to the outlet mall in Arcadia.
The people that showed at the meeting this week or all the people of Lincoln Parish?
How was he smeared? Most people are wondering why he was not renewed.
2nd report I’ve had of slow service. One chance to give a 1st impression.
That’s probably true for most good meals you ever ate. Would your grandmother’s kitchen pass a health dept. inspection?
Early reviews are not good. I haven’t tried it.
Ruston has a good variety of fast food chains, Mexican, and a few local joints. The local joints need to update their menu’s/ choices. Ruston doesn’t have much for fine dining or good fresh seafood.
Chic-a-dilly, Moon’s, Port-a-Prince, Pepe’s, Sonic, what more do you want?
Did you ever Western Sizzling with the mega bar?
