I asked mine, too. She wasn't enthused. She said she'd rather watch the game from home in her chair with the AC cranked up.

Unfortunately your Inbox is full and I cannot respond to you privately, so I'll just do it here.
In my final communication...
I never lied, not once, nor was I ever trying to be...
By the way, without giving by one very generous donor, several school owned instruments in need of repair would not have seen the field this year nor last. And the drumline would not have new drums....
I posted one. Post 122. There are plenty more. But 2 things...this is a marching band discussion and the topic has included more than just horns, and I just made a simple, true statement to point out...
DFM, the first to bring some sanity to this thread.
And right on cue.
How many you want? Here's one that's $31,977.

Yep. And yep. But keep going.
You're confused. I never said I disagreed with more horns. In fact I 100% agree. You are taking my statements out of context.
They had a sideline full of it, but ok. They even had a drum set. Were you at the game?
I love band threads.
You guys realize that, before front ensembles became a thing, that most marching bands including USC and LaTech marched glockenspiels, xylophones, and timpani, right? And...
By the way...I never said "horn." We are talking about marching band instruments...as you pointed out. The list cost of that field marimba is $23,745. The list cost of the timpani is $28,062....
It isn't an option. That is a piece of crap and a waste of money.
Here's just a couple.
...
Some instruments cost more than some cars.
40% of the NSU's 305 member band are music majors.
20% of LSU's 325 member band are majors. They also each receive a $1,000 service award on top of their scholarship.
Woodwinds do. Brass typically don't. Percussion obviously don't.
August 10th. The BOP started August 27th.
I didn't think they were schedule beyond 2019. Lol
agreed. And my comment wasn't a shot at Trump's administration. We should have been adding 400,000+ jobs a month for the past 6 years.
We should be adding 400k+ a month.
My favorite pickup line...
"Girl, are you a commentary on Joel Osteen's bookshelf? Because I have a hard time believing you exist."
I have no idea. And it doesn't really have any influence on my thoughts about him.
Prosperity gospel. Almost nothing he says is theologically accurate. DFM is spot on.
Now HERE is a solution to this mess that all of us should be able to get behind.

I was told today by customers in Kinder, LA that their prediction is 31 inches of rain.
