KSLA 12: LSU System president, board chair visit Shreveport
USN&WR.
These numbers haven't been updated in the US Dept of Ed IPEDS database yet. The IPEDS database figures currently run though 2009, but the 2010 numbers should be added soon.
I added the private schools in Louisiana.
2010 Endowment Assets
$873,048,000 - Tulane
$385,764,281 - LSU
$251,072,000 - Loyola-New Orleans
$117,340,547 - Xavier-Louisiana
$107,208,147 -...
Net assets of the university foundation are NOT the same thing as endowment.
Here are the federally reported actual ENDOWMENT figures from 2010.

Yep. That is old data. If I posted it in 2009, then data was probably from the entering 2007 class. Since then, our requirements have gone from the option of taking 2 remedial classes to only one...
We can accept students conditionally if they take the remedial course over the summer.
We can also accept up to 6% of students who don't meet all of the requirements.
These are most likely just...
How do the new admissions standards hurt Tech if we are being forced to lower our standards to ULL and UNO's level?
Thanks. Now we know that the "unbiased" person questioning Eva Klein's bias is the president of the ULL Foundation. What a dick to question her professionalism while claiming he is totally unbiased....
Yep. He also said Mayor Glover and the City of Shreveport have set money aside to help fund the initial costs of the merger.
No objections by the BOR. It passed unanimously!
Dr. Reneau chose not to speak.
Rep. Carmondy whose "allegiance is to the flagship in Baton Rouge" is "disappointed in the LSU System telling you to stop."
LSUS alumni rep says Mayor Glover and the Shreveport community are on board with the merger.
Chris Gorman is on board with the merger.

The UL System rep says that the UL System will not get involved until it passes unlike the LSU System. The UL System will do what the BOR and legislature thinks is best for the state.
The UL...
There is consensus among Tech, LSUS, and the Shreveport-Bossier business leaders for the merger to happen.
It looks like the BOR is on board and ready to send to the legislature for vote.
Sounds like someone (totally unbaised as he says) from Lafayette is accusing Eva Klein as being biased.
The LSU System rep is now advocating for Tech, LSUS, and LSUHSCS to merge into the LSU System.
An LSU System representative is trying to stop the BOR vote.
Reneau's publicly stated goal is an enrollment of 15,000 in Ruston, but he won't sacrifice quality for quantity.
The Monroe News-Star: Tech, LSU-S merger wins
He was talking about different athletics programs for the 2 campuses.
The campuses would be a part of one institution with only one athletics department.
You are right about what people will...
I don't know, but LSUS killed their athletics department many years ago and just brought it back in 2002.
One entity. Is it that hard to understand? There would be no Tech-Ruston nor Tech-Shreveport. There would just be Louisiana Tech University with an expanded campus.
LSUS athletics are...
LSUS plays basketball in a gym smaller than most Shreveport high schools. Nobody in Shreveport cares about LSUS sports.
