Re: Request for fellow beer snobs..

I would call Abita and St. Arnold's gateway craft breweries. Both are pretty mild, but can adjust your palate to being accepting of beers with a little more flavor than your macrobrewerys. Outside...

Re: Request for fellow beer snobs..

I have never seen the Dogfish Head 120 either in Houston. I am guessing we have some Puritanical law about the ABV of our beers?

Re: Request for fellow beer snobs..

I have to say I like the aftertaste that is in my mouth currently. I can still taste the hops and my mouth feels clean. I am sure after drinking some more hoppy beers I can discern other tastes,...

Re: Request for fellow beer snobs..

I tried the 60 tonight. It is pretty good, especially considering I am not an IPA guy. I would suggest it for someone who has never had a hoppy beer. I tried the St Arnold's a while back, and it...

Re: Request for fellow beer snobs..

Nope, will have to look for it when I go to Central Market next, they seem to have a great selection. There is also a restaurant in Houston that has over 100 beers on tap, it is called the Flying...

Re: Request for fellow beer snobs..

I went to a restaurant the other day with the lady, they had some special beers there for a limited time. I tried a Breckenride Vanilla Porter and a Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout. The Vanilla was...

Re: Request for fellow beer snobs..

I tried the dogfish head Raison D'etre, thought it was pretty good. I would definitely like to try another dogfish head. I think the 90 will be my next try.
