Watching the UTEP game, it was cringing when they say L A Tech.
I just disagree that Louisiana Tech is a true shorthand. If Louisiana Polytechnic Institute was still our formal name, I could see how you can say that.

Actually, there are other institutions that pronounces their state names like UConn, UMass, Cal, Penn. I know folks here like to say that other Techs don't use Gah or Vah, well it doesn't roll off...
Nope, folks all over know us by that. Lah tech is the acceptable shorthand.
I prefer the "United States of America" not U.S.A., US, America, or 'Merica. :)

I got L A Tech'd at a gas station in Fayetteville. So annoying. Tech sports media or whoever is in charge needs to reevaluate this s***.
