I didn't know that how we performed against the spread had bearing on the rating system, but that would definitely help explain why we are ranked below teams that we've beaten. Thanks.

Why are we ranked so far behind FAU and UNT?
Played there for the first time last week. Excellent course. :)
We have zero excuses this year. The conference as a whole is rated the worst in FBS, and the bottom half of CUSA is beyond embarrassing.
