Doesn't that effectively neuter his protest? Even if his motives are genuine (which I don't buy), isn't his whole game to be seen not standing?
This smells like a publicity stunt to me. He's lost his starting spot and his team, under his leadership, has gone from a SB contender to an also-ran...or worse.
