    Re: Immigration

I don't want to jump in, because it is futile when people make up their minds and fear rules. However, here are the facts on how the program works now (in case anyone wants to know):

    How are...

What would be the sign to you that it worked in your opinion? Personally, I think that all that are against the President will stay against him no matter what he does or doesn't do and no matter how...

    Re: Immigration

Congress has been urged to do something for a long long time - both parties. Nothing has been done. This is needed, but is just a stop gap until they do SOMETHING!

    Re: Immigration

We need to do extensive background checks, but Tyler, how are we not putting THOSE children at risk by sending them back? Or, are you okay with the risk those refugees (and they are that) face?

    Re: Immigration

I am fine with paying taxes and I would gladly pay more taxes to help these children (and others). I am being very honest. My question has more to do with people following one source (the Bible)...

    Re: Immigration

I will repeat my question. I am asking how one justifies nationalism vs. the Bible. I stated earlier that I don't have all the answers. What puzzles me is those that think they do.

    One of hundreds about children:

My point is that the laws of man are not necessarily in line with what the Bible states, yet many justify their actions based on believing the the U.S. is above...

    Re: Immigration

There are many references to welcoming others into your home and country. This is a good one:
Matthew 25: 35 I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger...

    Re: Immigration

I think many many people are doing that in our country. However, I was not judging. I would like to know if people understand that there is a difference.

    Re: Immigration

I am, actually, okay with sending help to their country and making it safe for them. I still haven't heard the answer for my question, though. I was asking how some conservative Christians justify...

    Re: Immigration

More about helping them, as opposed to not helping. As for other countries, should that be our example? OR, should we be setting an example?

My whole point of what I posted on this thread is that if there isn't a place in your heart for children and helping think of way to help them, we have a huge problem in our country. If you are...
