Just said it. Talking about the Buffet stuff and that it's not class warfare, that it's common sense.

    My favorite moment:
The President announced that Maxtor said it no longer makes financial sense to move jobs overseas... like it was a GOOD thing! YAY! We weakened the dollar so much that we can't afford Chinese sweatshops. Yippy-Skippy-Doo-Dah!! I'm glad jobs are coming back, but that's like calling the flu a four day vacation.

Yep. I'm surprised his writers didn't catch that they had him admit he brought the U.S. so far down we are now on equal footing to everyone else, and ended up triumphing it like that was a good thing.

Then again, they made sure to throw a number of "predecessor" excuses that it likely confused many millions.

Got burned out quick with the campaign speech. Decided to watch Liam Neeson take out a 1K muslims trying to get his daughter back from white slavers, and check in on the socialist during the ads. Absolutely astonished how that pos got elected 3 years ago.

The first thing I see on the news this morning is about the daring Navy Seal raid to free two hostages last night. HUMMM... That sure was Commander and Cheifish!

He's def. let the Saels do their work. He should have let them go get or destroy our drone in Iran as well.

    Obama said,

"The executive branch also needs to change. Too often, it's inefficient, outdated and remote. That's why I've asked this Congress to grant me the authority to consolidate the federal bureaucracy so that our Government is leaner, quicker, and more responsive to the needs of the American people."

Is he asking Congress to give their power to the president?

It's been said on here plenty that Obama wishes to be a dictator or at minimum FDR on roids.

Wants a new rule of straight up and down vote within 90 days for all appointments. All we are missing is a Reichstag fire to make the whole thing a nice parallel.

Deadlock in the government doesn't mean the system is broking, it means it is working perfectly. It is supposed to be difficult for anything to get done. Obama doesn't understand that, or doesn't care.

Depends. Who has the authority to create or shut down the DHS, EPA, DOJ, etc. It all falls under the executive branch, but does the executive branch have the power to shut down and consolidate? Some say they would since, though it increased the size of government, the DHS was a consolidation of various executive branch functions. But then that means Obama already has the power to do what he wants and instead is angling for something else.
