The source isn't even a fan of a future-C*USA school. It's a UH fan. UH has not been a part of those discussions for a long time. It's possible the guy knows people on the Rice side of things, but it's not like he names any sources.

C*USA is still better than the MAC (C*USA's best team is still there, two of the top four, and three of the top six), but I think LFR's "upheaval" point is a good one. It's one thing to chose between the conferences. It's another to pick up and leave one for the other. While I could see Temple doing it under the right circumstances, they'd probably be right to be wary.

Terry Holland said something on the radio that made the cusa fans believe it would be 20-24. Haven't been able to listen yet.
Make sure they have plenty of teams to keep stability in case one of the big boys come pouching again.
