So hot that gas evaporates.

Gasoline will evaporate pretty quick depending on outside temps and humidity and the type container in which it is stored. It's what liquids do.
Gasoline evaporates at different rates based on how refined the gas itself is, the ambient temperature, air pressure, wind speed and the size of the exposed area of gasoline. If you want to make gasoline evaporate faster, change some of these variables. Gas, like all liquids, evaporates faster if provided more heat, more wind, and more exposed area.

I know this. But I guess you gloss over the heat part of it?
If you're going to point out localized weather, I'm going to do the same. But really, you shouldn't do it because you know and have been adamant about localized weather not being a correct measure for global anything.

I've been across Europe the last 3 weeks and can tell you that they are experiencing a large cooling at this time. It is mid May and the temps stayed between 42 - 58 degrees the entire time.

Environmental-whacko was trying to blame the tornadoes in Oklahoma on global warming. Was channel surfing last night and came across that idiot on that Pierce Morgan (???) show, another idiot, on CNN. Said, no you can't blame the occurrence of a single tornado, or any isolated weather event, on global warming. But, given the size and number of tornadoes the past couple of days this points to a larger issue, and that is "global warming....er, climate change (he corrected himself) is real."
The liberal mantra remains: don't waste a good crisis to further a political agenda.
