Arctic Ice Coverage Is Up Substantially—So Media Ignores It
The Inconvenient Truth...
quote:
Scientists at the National Snow and Ice Data Center announced Wednesday that the Arctic ice sheet extends 25 percent further than it did last summer, with 1.82 million square miles of ice at its annual low.quote:Climate Change Dispatch
In July 2021, Antarctic sea ice covered 6.32 million square miles, which was 160,000 square miles above average in the 43-year record of the ice sheet, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
Muh Science...
Next they'll say that increasing ice is a sign of global warming. No really, they will! They already tried that just a few years ago when they tried to convince the brain-dead lib supporters that a colder winter in parts of the world was a direct result of global warming. Some lame mess made up about rising temps changing airflows and bringing cold temps to temperate zones. Fortunately, not too many folks bought it.
I think they will start leaning more toward feeling than fact. Just like they do with other areas of science. They will claim that it only feels colder, but in reality it’s not.
Edit: of course this will be the opposite of how they incorporate feelings into science in other areas. In specific areas, if you feel it, it makes it so. Not so with climate.
And while they are spinning everything, China will continue to burn coal and other fossil fuels to provide cheap energy to their manufacturers using slave labor while we send our middle class jobs overseas.
The overall levels of carbon in the atmosphere will not be impacted.
India says GTFO with your net zero carbon target
India, a country being paid very well with your tax dollars from the Paris Accord, has decided that the net zero emissions target isn’t their problem. But we’ll keep paying them, and China, in addition to them not being handcuffed with environmentalist shackles.
India’s Environment Minister:quote:Shocking that he lives in the real world where environmental restrictions have economic consequences.
We can't do it on our own as we need to think about our economy as wellquote:But keep that Paris Accords money coming!
Forcing a sectoral agenda is not good. We will (take a call on coal production) at our own pace
This is why getting back into the Paris Accords was a stupid idea.. We will continue to just give away billions with nothing in return.. but hey Goosey said it's a good thing..
Actor Ted Danson went on a rant saying the ice caps will melt, our coasts will go under as oceans rise, and it's not even in dispute! The science, he said is there. Don't be a "climate denier!" When? Oh, before the end of the century he insisted. It may already be too late, he said. It's going to happen, he said. The science is there!
Danson made that rant in 1991, meaning by 1999, there would be no more coasts. BTW, how are things on the coast these days? I understand there are beach resorts in Arizona now, and in Kentucky too! since both coasts went under.
algore has milked $millions from fools who believe his stupidity. Wouldn't be surprised if a couple of our resident libs have contributed to buying algore his new private jet or big gas-guzzling limo as he goes around warning the rest of us about the burning of fossil fuel.
Let's make a deal with Leo.
We will put up his scare tactic crap only if 10 years from today (when the earth will still be ticking along just fine thank you) he agrees to put himself on permanent mute, retires from all acting and public appearances, and forgoes all future earnings from his past acting gigs.
If he won't put his money where his misplaced mouth is, then he should be ridiculed for his crap.

'Extraordinarily frustrated': Renters can find no place to plug in electric vehicles.

Another example of "didn't think this one through" for the green energy folks...
The ranges quoted by electric car companies are about 40% overstated. If it says you get 300 miles before recharging, you actually get about 180 unless you are driving at a constant speed (slowly) on completely level terrain in optimal weather conditions. And that's only what you get when the battery is brand new....it degrades over time and you get less and less.
These things are not ready for prime time. They may get there one day, but not anytime soon.
I think Chevron and others are barking up the right tree with green hydrogen (as far as I can understand it) if you want zero carbon emissions. Until they perfect that, I will stick with my ICE gas/diesel guzzler.
