The winning three was too much last night. It was great. The legend grows...

I got me a Lin shirt while in NYC last week at Modell's Sporting Goods on Time Square. Each day when I pass by they were sold out.

man, it is insane up here with all the Lin talks. New York never care about its basketball team until now. I don't know how long it will last but it has been pretty crazy.

New York has always been a basketball town, they just now have reason to get back behind the Knicks. I think its a great thing for the NBA as well.

Thanks to Linsanity, this is the first time I've paid attention to the NBA since the end of the Jordan-Malone era. His story is like no other. Hope he keeps it up. I'm rooting for him.

I never cared for the Knicks, but I'm rooting for them now because of Jeremy Lin. He's exciting to watch.

I hate to see comments come out that are racial. It is even more sad that even after a public apology, the individual responsible got canned. The news anchor was a Christian, just like Lin, and he immediately came forward with an apology and ESPN still fired him. Way to overreact. I would understand if the person had been linked to repeated racial comments, but come on man!!

    Re: Knick's Jeremy Lin: LIN-SANITY

"A chink in the armor" or something like that is the headline that caused the issue. This PC crapola is out of control. And all of us are to blame. Well, not me. I purposely support those that have been labeled racists or whatever when they made some comment that gets labeled anti-PC.

So, exactly why does ESPN feel the need to immediately fire someone over this? Who knew about it, before they themselves made an issue of it? What if, just once, someone stood up to the PC crowd with a "Well, might not have been the best choice of words, but it's no big deal. Get over it." What....does anyone think even ONE sports' fan will boycott ESPN over this? Does anyone think even ONE sponsor will pull ads from their #1 marketing venue?

From this to the silliness in Utah where a local high school was denied the use of "Cougars" as their mascot, PCism is beyond ridiculous.

But not me, I'm not taking it. Wormer, dead! Needlemeyer, dead!

Actually, they suspended the anchor (too long, still an overreaction). They fired the guy who wrote the headline. The anchor was an innocent comment; it's pretty obvious he wasn't even trying to make a pun. The headline was pretty bad--though I'm still not sure it was a firing offense.

    ahha, thanks

still I agree with 80, it is stupid for someone to have to apologize for what was probably a good article because of 1 phrase.
