I caught a few of the Women's games yesterday. Some were pretty close and some were blowouts, as expected in the first round. McNeese did a great job and were 8 points from knocking off #2 seed and regular season SEC Champ Kentucky. They played tight the whole game. Good game and congratulations to McNeese on a great season!
That Caitlyn Baggett is very good. Saw her play againt aTm last year and she handled herself very well. You know....against the eventual National Champ. Yesterday she again had a great game, dazzling a #2 seed. Baggett is better than any guards we have, and have had, for many, many years. If she had better support McNeese would be moving on to the next round. A bunch of times her dribble penetration was just so smooth, but a teammate would blow a layup or miss a chippy shot. She sees the floor like a good PG needs to.
The Baggett twins -- Caitlyn and Ashlyn -- are both very good players. Their little sister, Allison, is heading to ULL next year and, in my opinion, is a better overall player than both of her sisters.
