I may have mixed emotions about KMR, but Baylor totally dominated that second half. Congratulations to her and the Lady Bears! Griner may be the best player ever to have played WBB. KMR has established herself among the elite now and, I have no doubts, will be joining Leon, Pat and Geno in history as one of the best.......

To a packed house and lots of stars in the crowd. It is a MUCH bigger deal than anyone against WBB wants to admit.
although I do think Kim is a good coach I think it's fair to say that having what appears to everyone who doesn't want to worry about being politically correct, a man on her team, she has a little bit of an unfair advantage against everyone else. Britney Griner would have to be tested before she would make the olympic team and something tells me (mostly her size sixteen mens shoe) that she wouldn't make the team.

Would any of us be saying that if Griner was playing at LaTECH with Kim as head coach as she should have been? I still can not fathom what JO and DR were thinking. However, I do believe what was possibly the greatest mistake in women's basketball history and most certainly the biggest in DR's reign, is a driving force behind the success that Kim has had. Congratulations to Kim for her accomplisments to date and those I for one am sure will come.

I have no problem with Griner. Wish we had her! Kim has an awesome PG, as well. Those two alone could get you to the NC game....... I don't see how Baylor will not repeat next year, unless there is some talent out there better than Kim's PG/Post tandum.
Great job Kim!!! All along the way thru the tourney there has been some sort of good publicity for Tech. Hopefully this glowing amber from Tech's glory days can lead to a bigger fire in the years to come, and become the power we once were.
Kim won a national title w/o Griner - there is no doubt she is one of the elite coaches in the country. It's hard to win it every year but Kim will win a few more before she is done. Baylor's defense is fun to watch.
When you watch the final four teams you realize how far we have fallen. We are not even close to competing with those teams and I think the climb back to the top is a lot harder today than it was 20 years ago. :bigcry:
