I do agree that the Cubs are a team on the rise though. Should be really fun again in a couple of years. They rake in WAY too much money not to be competitive year in and year out.
I'm ready for my 'Stros to start improving. I detest the move to the AL but I'll still root for them. Now I can really hate the Yankees!

I will stand and applaude loudly, all diehard Cubs' fans the day the team finally delivers a World Series....of course, I'll have to be immortal to actually witness it.

It will take some time to undo the failed phylosophies that they were stuck on. When they decided to load their minor league teams with 70% foreign players in 2009 and give their director of player personnel (Mr. Fleita) the go ahead to release a lot of home grown prospects, I jumped off their bandwagon. They also had a big tendency to draft and develop players only to block their path to the mlb by signing mediorcre free agents....they would trade these prospects ( some have flourished for other organizations).
