La Tech versus Southern Miss in the Conference USA championship game on campus in Ruston (held in Ruston because the Conf USA West Division had a higher winning % versus the East) and then a championship game held on campus in Ruston again (alternate each year between Conf USA and MWC) between La-Tech and New Mexico especially knowing that a spot in the national tournament awaited the winner? How nuts would Ruston be for those two weekends in a row? How rockin' would Aillet be with 31K + fans packed in their? Instead you want to go to Nashville and play in a 70k stadium? Come on Skunky's right about this one?

I designed my playoff bracket to appease several factors.
1. Keeping the Big 4 Conferences happy and against their main rival conference.
2. Keeping the bowls tied to big games to make the "playoff pill" easier to swallow.
3. Giving the non-AQ Conferences a fighting chance to make it to the championship game by taking out the ranking system and basing playoff bids off of winning your conference.

The suggestion of giving the conference championship games a bowl game was more to give the 2nd place teams in the conference a bowl style game as well. It also gives the championship games more of a centralized and neutral field. How you would chose which team gets home field advantag in your scenario?

who says a sun belt team is guaranteed to make the playoffs? its the winner of the sun belt verus the mac? one team out of 28 makes it in so i would assume that their winning % would be higher than above plus the most games you could play before the national tournament would be 10 so i would hope you would have a team with a record of 7-3 or 8-2 or 9-1 or 10-0? the 1 versus 16 and 2 versus 15 games are pretty much first round byes for those teams but if those teams overlooks them the first story on sportscenter would be that game???? headline----la tech stuns lsu in baton rouge in the first round of the ncaa playoffs!!!

the biggest part of of my plan is that teams will not be left out...they have something to play for without some ranking or computer getting in the way....for those 56 "tier 2" schools if they win their in!! If Jacksonville State wins the Sun Belt and then beats the MAC champ they are "feeder" for whoever gets the number 1 overall seed...lsu or alabam gets another home game (worth millions btw) and if they over look the 55th ranked team in the nation and lose they deserve it!!
