how many UTEP fans you figure are in Jaurez? Guess just the drug dealers.
Did they annex Juarez into the USA? DMA is what counts, not population.
Quite a few of their students are from Juarez, some they do have a following across the border
What is DMA?
El Paso metro is 800,000 so it's still quite a bit larger than Shreveport/Ruston
Designated Market Area. Basically the coverage area for the local news stations.
The Shreveport/Texarkana DMA is the Ark-La-Tex, and the Monroe/El Dorado DMA is the Ark-La-Miss. We get daily news coverage in both markets.
Did I say anything about Shreveport/Ruston? Please go look up DMA and stop with the population argument.

It really doesn't matter but look how many counties the Shreveport area covers in East Texas, that pick-up the Lufkin and Tyler stations. There are also more grads and followers of SFA, Texas A&M, Baylor. So that is a real stretch that we have a bigger media market than UTEP. While UTEP is the only game in town with a metro area of 800,000
And the majority of those people in the El Paso area don't speak English, and football is soccer to them. It doesn't matter though. DMAs are all about tv households, and the Shreveport/Texarkana news does not cover SFA, Baylor, or Texas A&M.
But those counties in East Texas also pick-up the Tyler and Lufkin stations. So that is a stretch to say we cover those areas.
It's not a stretch. Those few counties in East Texas are part of the Shreveport/Texarkana Designated Market Area.
I disagree, there are way more people following the Texas schools watching the Tyler and Lufkin stations in those counties. PS, I live in one of those counties
Some of you just argue over anything..truth is we barely get coverage in monroe and its only slightly better in shreveport. I believe we are getting in cusa not matter the coverage this time.
