    Cusa wac 2011-12 rpi comparison

Looking ahead to see how rpi's compare CUSA vs WAC. If we're in the east basketball is loaded there too. Nice to have Coach White and staff leading the way for us. For 2011-12 season rpi rankings:

    CUSA: 2 in top 100, 6 more 100-200, 3 more over 200, average rpi ranking 152 (118 in east)

    WAC: 2 in top 100, 2 more 100-200, 3 more over 200, average rpi ranking 161

    CUSA: USM 21, Marshall 44, UAB 111, Tulsa 118, UTEP 147, La Tech 159, ECU 164, Rice 170, NTSU 198, UTSA 202, Tulane 250, FIU 251

    WAC: NMSU 59, Nevada 67, USU 143, Idaho 146, La Tech 159, Hawaii 204, Fresno 230, SJSU 281

It's a long way to the start of MBB in 2013 so the RPI's could be very different after the 2012-2013 season. Ours could be significantly higher.

I told several people and may have also posted that USM was the best team I saw in-person all year long. The RPI shows that to be true. However, USM lost their coach and 5 seniors who scored over half of their points and had about half of their rebounds. I hope we improve enough to beat them should be in C-USA.

No matter the conference, our men's basketball clearly must get a lot better.
