I was thinking stomped on him would've been better.

That looks like nothing more than a "play on words", and a way for LSU to eliminate jobs.

I would think we would. We could close our campus over there and just get rid of all their administration. The budget crisis will end and we can do something with it when things improve - everything comes in cycles and it would put us in a great position for the future.

Further access to the Shreveport/Bossier City market would be huge. I assume the local politicians, professionals and businessmen that wanted the merger in 2012 would still work with Tech to create more higher ed opportunities in the metro area.

Oh I would want it. But can we make it float under this new "economy" of Obama's?

I think this has more to do with the new economic status of Louisiana for higher ed.

I do think it would work and save a TON of money by consolidation. No need for a full administration in Shreveport. I have worked to consolidate functions of an old state MHMR system in Texas and it works great. Technology has allowed us to cut costs and merge many administrative functions that cover 183 Counties in this state. No reason that same model can't be used in the university system.

THIS!!!! I have been saying this for some time. Just let LSUS shut down, and let the state/LSU Board handle the problems that they have created and that have to be dealt with. Then we'll (Tech) pick up "the pieces". Otherwise, Tech will be blamed for every damn problem (and some just perceived) that comes up.

Then Jindal took up the cause from 2008-2016. It's easy to see why you both think Democrats are the real problem.
