LSU Coaching Salaries
Glenn Guilbeau article about LSU coaching salaries says that John Chavis to average $1.1 mil. Highest non head coach in country. Kragthorpe at $700k. LSU system has to cut almost $100 mil according to budget. Since LSU football pays for itself, are coaching salaries out of line?

Re: LSU Coaching Salaries
Since it pays for itself, it is probably OK. However, it is probably not going to endear the athletic department to the faculty when they have to cut back, self-sustaining or not.

Re: LSU Coaching Salaries
No- if you are self sufficient aka everywhere you look lsu tiolet paper, t-shirts,etc, for sale, sell-out crowds and you bring in the $$$-the sky is the limit. As a player, they could be asking where is my share, which some are suggesting. It is what it is.

Re: LSU Coaching Salaries
The AD functions under a different pool of money.
They are untouchable.
In fact, not only does the athletic department not get any funding from the University....the Athletic department actually returns money to the University to be used for other things.
