Lot of smoke around the Boise/SDSU discussions. The MWC stayed at 10 for a reason that only they know.

Is it just me, or does anyone else feel like CUSA is about to be raided by both the BE and the MWC?

CUSA board is saying CUSA teams signed some kind of agreement to prevent further defections. But Fresno and Nevada did that too with the WAC and it didn't matter.

I don't think we have to worry about MWC. We have to worry about the Big East.

So much has to play out. The Big East doesn't really want any more CUSA teams. If they lose Rutgers (the last remaining AQ team) and Louisiville, I don't see Boise and SD State staying in that league. However, if they really want Boise and SD State to stay, they will have to look West to pacify them.... Air Force and Fresno St perhaps.

    Boise St
    SD State
    Fresno St
    Air Force
    SMU
    Houston

    Cincinnati
    USF
    UCF
    Memphis
    Navy
    UConn

That makes more sense than what they have right now, imo.

UNLV? That is just getting silly. Their former Commissioner was fighting to save BE football, but those days are gone. I anticipate that following the next raid on the BE, the bball schools will stop replenishing fball members.

The BE now has 13 fball members (current or pending). 10 are all-sports and 3 are FBO (BSU, SDSU, & Navy).

Let's guess the B1G & BigXII will each eventually want 2 more (say, por ejemplo: UConn, RU, UL, & Cincy),

Then it's just Memphis, Temple, USF, UCF, Houston, & SMU for allsports. Those plus 3 FBO members is a pretty tenuous alliance. You think the west coast twins will hang around in that for long? I doubt it.

That's when the noobs will ask the conference for more full members. And that's when the Cat'lics will tell them to go bite the wall. At that point, only Army will be able to save BE football. (Unless you think ND is gonna step up ... pshaw!)

Unless Army agrees to play FBO in the BE by the end of this decade, it's done. Navy goes back to Indy, and Temple takes their fball back to the MAC.

And Memphis, UCF, USF, Houston & SMU will have some serious thinking to do.

Those 5 plus 12 MWC plus 14 CUSA will revisit the whole Pod32 idea/thing again.

And Idaho will put on her prettiest dress.

Only way I see ND going to BE is if they want to be sure they can dominate a conference. However, I do not see that the media gurus will give ND that option. They ARE NOT what they once were and if they are not given a lucrative TV deal for themselves but are told if they join the Big X they get a whopper, it greases the wheels.

I always liked the 32 team superconference idea. They just need to figure out a way to have a championship series and that would be outstanding. Four 8 team pods with the 4 champs playing a tournament.

    4 OOC
7 conf games vs your pod (to be completed by 2nd Nov weekend)
1 conf game vs TBA on 4th Nov weekend (serves as "semi-finals" for the pod-champs and "bubble-busters" for everyone else)
Championship game first week of Dec.

    No. It's just you.

I'm laughing at Boise. They're now stuck without a conference for their olympic sports, and they want to blame the WAC because the WAC is going away. Never mind the fact that it was Boise which started the latest round of cannibalism of the WAC when it left for the MWC. I hope those bastards have to come crawling back to the MWC.

Yep. All 5 of those schools are pretenders to the throne. None of the 5 have any business being in the Big East, including USF. Not a single one of them is any better than a CUSA school.
