CNN media correspondent Brian Stelter regularly denounces anything he considers an attack on the free press, but news of his own colleagues being chased away by a violent mob Wednesday night during demonstrations in Minnesota was absent from his "Reliable Sources" newsletter.
A CNN crew was harassed in Brookly Center by demonstrators that are often labeled "peaceful" by the liberal network, as chaos following the police shooting of Daunte Wright continued. Video of the incident was viral on Twitter before 8 p.m. ET, but Stelter did not feel the incident important enough for his nightly newsletter about the media.

Twitter accused of protecting CNN after tech giant bans James O'Keefe: 'They're all on the same team'
Project Veritas founder has vowed to file defamation suit against Twitter next week.
Critics accused Twitter Thursday of banning Project Veritas founder James O'Keefe from its platform over the right-wing guerrilla news outlet's damning exposé of CNN.
Project Veritas relaunched its #ExposeCNN campaign this week by sharing footage of CNN technical director Charles Chester revealing the liberal network's dirty laundry. In the footage, Chester claimed that CNN's "focus" during the 2020 election campaign was to "get rid of" President Trump, that the network hyped its coronavirus coverage for "gangbuster" ratings, and that it aims to "help" Black Lives Matter.
On Thursday, O'Keefe's Twitter account, which was sharing Project Veritas' reporting, was permanently suspended over alleged use of "fake accounts."
"As outlined in our policy on platform manipulation and spam, 'You can’t mislead others on Twitter by operating fake accounts,' and 'you can’t artificially amplify or disrupt conversations through the use of multiple accounts,'" a Twitter spokesperson told Fox News.

O'Keefe categorically denied Twitter's assertions, telling Fox News that he vows to sue the tech giant for defamation.
Twitter declined to comment when asked what fake accounts O'Keefe allegedly used. The company also did not respond to requests for comment on O'Keefe's pending lawsuit.
Critics, however, were not buying Twitter's "fake accounts" accusation.

This set off Acosta who raged that Carlson was “Fox’s chief white power correspondent.”
“But let’s be real,” said Acosta. “Tucker Carlson’s anger wasn’t about the actions of a police officer who murdered a man but about the guilty verdict. Or as Carlson, Fox’s chief white power correspondent described the decision, ‘please don’t hurt us,’” Acosta fumed.
The Anti-Defamation League is currently trying to pressure advertisers to drop Carlson’s program by pushing a lie that Carlson expressed support for the “white replacement” conspiracy theory.
Acosta lent a hand to this smear campaign by calling Carlson a racist on national television.
So far the boycott effort has failed.
But as Jim Acosta showed, the leftists have no intention of throwing in the towel on their goal of ending Tucker Carlson’s TV career.

Fox News dominates MSNBC, CNN during April as ‘Tucker Carlson Tonight’ is most-watched cable news show.
Fox News finished No. 1 among both primetime and total day viewers.
Fox News Channel dominated the cable landscape during the month of April, finishing as the most-watched network in multiple categories, including primetime and total day viewers.
Fox News averaged 2.2 million primetime viewers in April to finish as the No. 1 network among all of basic cable from 8-11 p.m. ET. MSNBC averaged 1.6 million to finish second, as HGTV averaged 1.2 million to finish third.
Fox News also finished as the most-watched network among total viewers, averaging 1.2 million while no other basic cable channels cracked the one-million viewer plateau. MSNBC averaged 953,000 total day viewers while CNN settled for only 786,000.

"Hannity," MSNBC’s "The Rachel Maddow Show" and "The Ingraham Angle" joined "Tucker and "The Five" among the top five programs, while no CNN shows managed to crack the top 15. The most popular show on CNN was "The Lead with Jake Tapper," which finished No. 17 behind nine Fox News shows and seven MSNBC offerings.
It was a rough month for CNN’s left-winng primetime lineup, as "Anderson Cooper 360" and scandal-plagued "Cuomo Prime Time" finished outside the top 17. Don Lemon’s show didn’t even average one million nightly viewers.
"CNN Tonight" with Lemon averaged only 895,000 viewers to finish outside the top 35 most-watched shows, well behind a variety of daytime and morning programs despite being part of CNN’s primetime lineup.

Social media users are demanding CNN respond after discovering that one of their freelance contributors, Adeel Raja, who has written dozens of pieces for the outlet, wrote in a now-deleted tweet that "the world today needs a Hitler." After some digging, it turned out to be one of several messages Raja has posted praising the Nazi leader.
"The only reason I am supporting Germany in the finals - Hitler was a German and he did good with those Jews!" Raja wrote during the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Raja last had a CNN byline on Sept. 16, 2020. He still lists his affiliation with the network on LinkedIn.
"Hail Hitler!" he wrote the following day. Twitter users shared screenshots of the messages.
