I just saw this in the San Antonio Express News this morning. The title talks about Texas A&M's little smack talk issue with Muschamp, but the article talks about how Tech will be a tough game as well.

Everyone should take a chill pill on this one. A&M's talent level far exceeds ours. It could be reasonably close, but the only way we win is with a perfect storm.

The A&M win probability is unknown to me. It's A&M, they recruit great talent, but are in transition period with a new coach.
I know our team will be very prepared. Our players and coaches are on the same page regarding practice and game preparation.
The last A&M game was a nightmare. We can win this game but we need things to go our way like the MSU 08 game. Our experience and established system versus their turnover should give us the edge there. Therefore I think we have a great chance at overcoming their "star power" with superior execution.
I agree to a point. If Sumlin is willing to limit the Spread in favor of a power running game, I think the ags will dominate. But if he insists on implementing the Spread full bore in the opening game, their execution may be inconsistent enough to leave a door open for us.
You've got to get "your" offense in eventually. He can't coach one set of line splits all summer and then try to change in the middle of the season. And he can't be planning to out-power his new conference mates.
I don't know how their splits were, but hasn't A&M been running a fast-paced no-huddle attack for a couple of years? If so, that will speed up the learning curve some.
Playing them this early really benefits us the most. We are not intemidated at all like in the past when we play "The Elites"...If anything, I hope their heads are so big by joining the SEC and we're not in that status, will help us. Their defence will probably be more unified then their offence at this point. Like coach said at the start of last season (20011) about how the recuiting looks, he said " I would not want to be a team playing us next year" meaning the 2012 season. I saw a glimpse of what WE could be against Houston last year...It's a matter of getting the debth and more 3 and 4 star recruits with a sprinkiling of a couple 5 star recruits. The system is there to be very successful and to allow the young men that play here to show there skills to the higher ups (NFL)...By joining the CUSA really opens a lot of doors for us.
And this is EXACTLY why I was VERY OPPOSED to scheduling Texas A&M this year, and ever again.......UNLESS we could schedule them in Ruston. I'm not saying we don't have a chance, but we've been down this road about a dozen times with Texas A&M. And frankly, we've probably sent better teams than this 2012 version up against A&M before, and we've always been Donkey Stomped.
I'm convinced that most Bulldog fans don't have a sincere appreciation for the level of talent Texas A&M recruits every year.

Maybe we're looking at records instead of rivals rankings.
They're have us on paper. In the past, that's always translated to the field (at least when they play us, if nobody else). But hope springs eternal and all that. . .
We ain't playin in OUR HOUSE, and because of that, we don't have that advantage.
