"Like"
These degree offerings seem to have more substance behind them than the corndog plan. This seems to be geared toward the professional who is looking for an advanced / graduate degree not the "non-traditional student struggling through a 6 yr general studies degree."
I think this thread should be moved to the football forum for a few days to inform our folks who don't venture out of the football forum.
This is big news that needs to be shared.

Love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Our University isn't particularly fond of the word "NO" --- and we tend to interpret that 2-letter word as meaning, "try it again, but a different way"
I fully believe at some point down the road, Louisiana Tech WILL have a Shreveport/Bossier PHYSICAL campus.
I say build it on Latech Drive off of Shreve Park Dr. There is a lot of land out there.

So what is LATAN, the business at the 8028 Shrevepark Dr location, are we paying rent?
http://www.latan.org/
LATAN is a 501(c)(3) statewide nonprofit organization that connects individuals with disabilities and older persons to the Assistive Technology (AT) that enables independence in employment, school, and community living.
Does seem like a good location right, lots of room and right off the loop, and I like the street names Technology Drive, Campus Drive, and LaTech Drive. Plus if the LSUS merger happens we would have great location on both sides of I-49 and plus Barksdale & Cyber Center across the river...
Would have 4 locations in SBC...

Good move by Tech. Next time when the merger talk comes around, it'll be LSU Committment Plan vs our LaTech at SBC program.
