    Mouse Pad

One of my lap tops recently began acting up. When pages are loading they freeze up unless I move the cursor. Is this a mouse pad issue? Also, I like to listen to the radio in the background. It stops streaming unless I move the cursor constantly.

The laptop is old and I've gotten my use out of it, but wondered if this was an easy/inexpensive fix.

    Get a new laptop.

If the one you have is older than 4-5 years, it's time.

It's usually not worth the time/effort troubleshooting something like that on a laptop that old (Obviously, unless it was a more expensive, high-end laptop). Desktops are a different story, as they are easier to work on and easier to pinpoint what's causing issues, if hardware related.

Is that's the case, download and install Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. The FREE version. Run a scan and it should remove any, if any, malware on your laptop.

Try lengthening the time frame before the computer enters sleep mode. Years ago, this worked for me.

In this case it's a user issue.
