Former UMS-Wright pitcher Tucker Ward, who played his first season of college baseball at Faulkner State Community College, has signed a scholarship offer from Louisiana Tech.
Ward, a 6-foot-6, 245-pound right-hander, is the son of Mobile BayBears manager and former big leaguer Turner Ward.
The Saraland native was spotted by Louisiana Tech coaches this summer when he took part in the Coastal Plains League, a summer collegiate program.

From last years squad, how many graduated, drafted, or left the team? I guess 10 if we have 10 new?

Justin Gordey and Alex Williams were the only two to finish their eligibility, and Jeb Stefan signed after getting drafted.
I know of one player who didn't have his scholarship renewed and was cut from the team.
I added an 11th newcomer to the earlier post.

Also Pierce Spangler. Can't remember if he was signed or is a preferred walk-on. Seems there may have to be more room made on the current roster to accomodate these newcomers.
To add 11, you need to 11 to go. Sims commitment to his players is disheartening.
Besides the three that have gone on to the pros, I can speculate as many as 5 that have possibly left the program but won't tell names at this time. We'll know for certain once school starts. There might be more but it would be truly a guess. Definitely know more the second week of September.

Bronson Gilliam was SCREWED out of a scholarship. He's transferring to Arkansas - Monticello.

He transferred from Arkansas, was on scholly, then was asked to do a demonstration for the S&C coach and his class. Was asked to throw at 100%. Tore something in his shoulder due to not getting time to warm up and cold weather. (in December or January) Was on schedule on his rehab and would have been a backup 3rd, DH, and Pitcher. Was cut from scholly in August and has now transferred to Arkansas - Monticello.
