Pretty much anybody the Sun Belt plays out of conference at the FBS level will qualify as a "contract" game.

Here was the 2009 WAC rule...it wasn't extra money E$PN paid....

    f. Football Inconvenience Stipend
A stipend of $75,000 shall be paid to the home Conference team appearing in a non-Saturday nationally-televised football game. The stipend shall be paid out of the ESPN rights fee. [5/05]

Still 1st quarter, but right now Nebraska is wiping the floor with USM's face 17-7. The USM TD came from a 102-yd kickoff return. Other than that, Nebraska looks like they are playing against a middle school team.

Unless the money is unbelievable, I say a home game is always better.

Our A&M series and USM's Nebraska series will be good case studies for schools like ours.

No way nlulm comes out ahead with a team like Baylor.

After what Baylor did to SMU this week, nlulm will be lucky to be able to count that high on the opponent's score when Baylor plays them. How many digits do they have on the scoreboard?

Well, they're not coming out ahead of where they'd be if they just played a money game instead. But they're coming out ahead of where they'd be playing Nicholls or a home-and-home with Bowling Green.

And they'll come out ahead on the scoreboard (not ahead of Baylor, but ahead of where they'd have been in Waco).

Let's see how many show up for Baylor. They are practically giving tickets away in order to have a good looking TV crowd.

I haven't checked yet, but if it doesn't interfere with a Tech game, I might go. My sister is in the NLULM choir which is singing at the half. Also I've got a friend here (student) who's a Baylor transfer.

The ULM-Baylor game will be on Friday, September 21st. The LA Tech game at Illinois is the following day. Unless you're planning an overnight drive to Champaign, IL to see the Tech game live, you should be fine.
