Minnesota is that bad and perhaps the whole of the Big 10 as well. If Boise takes out Michigan State and after Michigan loses to Alabama, the Big 10 should just about be done for another year.

I figure Rice did actually suffer from the mythical "not as deep" a roster problem that a lot of big colleges say about smaller colleges. UCLA more than likely has a good amount of talent, just they are horribly coached.

Myerberg had WMU ranked ahead of Illinois. I was expecting a drop off from Illinois this year with the new staff and philosophies, but they seemed to beat WMU easily. It makes our trip to Illinois seem tougher than I thought originally.

Youngstown State leads Pittsburgh 28-17 with 9:00 to go in the fourth quarter.

Liberty leads Wake Forest 14-7 with 5:40 remaining in the 3rd quarter.

Update: Youngstown State defeated Pittsburgh 31-17. It's the 3rd victory by a FCS team over a FBS team this weekend.

The weekend keeps getting worse for the schools scheduled to join the Big East in the next few years.

Last night, Boise State lost to Michigan State 17-13.

Navy was destroyed by Notre Dame this morning 50-10. Houston lost to FBS newcomer Texas State 30-13. San Diego State is losing to Washington 21-6 in the third quarter.

Now, Memphis became the 4th FBS team to lose to an FCS team this weekend with a loss to Tennessee-Martin 20-17.
