I'm surprised that we don't have applicants from more prominent universities than this. A little disappointed. The pay must really suck.
Jordan Mills on choosing Tech:
“It’s a great experience seeing them play. It was a good atmosphere. The fans stood up the whole game and never sat down. They have a great fan base.”
$350K annually plus allowances/incentives ain't too shabby. However, I will say, that constantly having to continually cut your budgets is taxing and aggravating.
and a car, servants, gardners, cooks, reggie, your own band a powerplant. what'd i leave out ? office with a view. Seriously, does that salary seem low to anyone but me ? I mean for the president of a tier 1 university.
....and very good season tickets!
HogDawg, I thought the same thing. Very surprised that a few top level administrators from LSU, MSU, Ole Miss, etc. did not apply. I suspect that even the lowest academic ranked school in the SEC or Big 12 would get dozens of applicants, many from "name" schools.
Maybe they did apply but did not want their applications published because they also like their current jobs.
Any decent university will have these perks and many more. Compare this salary and perks with the salaries and perks at the universities with whom we like to compare ourselves. I have a feeling we don't compare all that well. That may account for the dearth of applicants.
