    Re: Dr. Reneau

I was in his inaugural chemical engineering class as a junior in 1967 and taught a chemical engineering lab for him as a graduating senior in 1969 (due to Viet Nam there were not enough graduate students) and have always respected and admired him. I wish him the best in his retirement.

Well yeah, cause it didn't happen last year, or this year, it's happening next... I mean if I predicted something to happen (that was going to happen eventually anyway) and was 3 years off I wouldn't expect any accolades...:icon_wink:

I take what I can get

To be fair, it was a rumor from a credible source who should know, indicating that DR would retire within a year, two years at the most.

Permit me to translate. "I need a place to go to get out of the house. Some old friends, who I kept on the payroll, and I will be able to get together over coffee and reminisce. I may even speak occasionally. But praise all that is good, I don't have to consider another budget. It's going to be great! Can I still get the BOP to come to my house for a serenade?"

There's probably some property between Temple Baptist and Lake Reneau to build a nice lakefront home where he can spend his retirement years.

I believe he has built a house in Squire Creek and it should be completed by now.

I would be 100% satisfied with this outcome.
