The WAC

UTSA is 3-0 but hasn't played anyone yet. They should be 4-0 after next week, then we'll see as they start playing better competition.

San Jose State and Utah State appear to be good this year and will probably offer our stiffest tests to winning the WAC again.

Even with our, ahem, suspect defense, I expect us to win the WAC. Nothing short of another WAC title will do.

Be interesting to watch Texas State too. They will surprise a few folks this year.

Utah State is good. They would be 3-0 if they could kick a field goal.

Louisiana Tech, Utah State, and San Jose State should all be bowl-eligible from the WAC this year. New Mexico State has a chance to get a 6-6 record if some things go right this year.

So far this year, Louisiana Tech defeated two teams from Conference USA, San Jose State defeated Colorado State from the MWC and came close to beating Stanford on the road, Utah State defeated Pac-12 Utah and nearly defeated Wisconsin from the Big Ten, and Texas State defeated C-USA Houston on the road.

The last eyar of the WAC will be interesting with some decent programs in the conference.
