My brother in law has a bulldog that he is looking to get rid of. This bulldog could not be the mascot because it is too big boned (FAT)...but this bulldog's bloodline was an UGA.

I'm sure in under a week I could find a good bred Bulldog.
Who cares about the blood lines. It'll be dead in 2 years time anyway.
Just have one stuffed, mount it on a skateboard and whala....
Mobile mascot without the worries of heat stroke -
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
dang -- something's wrong with yall.
No freaking kidding!!
A YEAR?!? I could understand a week or maybe being lazy and taking a month, but one YEAR. I would love to know what, exactly, it is they plan to be doing that takes an entire year. Good grief.
This is just not hard. Get a computer. Get on this thing known as "the internet". Find a reputable breeder with a long history and good reviews. Find a dog in the appropriate colors with healthy parents. Buy the dog. Bring him to Ruston. Problem solved.
Sheesh, they could have a damn dog by tomorrow afternoon if they would get off their collective butts.
Would Georgia just not worry about it and go an entire season without an Uga mascot?
