A lot has happened in these 3 years. Still nobody would prefer playing against their Champ but if invited we should go have a great time, recruit the heck out of S. La while doing it and go get a win.
I think I understand the aversion to playing a team from the SBC. Maybe we will have better options. I don't know that playing a 5-7 team is a better option than playing a conference champion, though.

What I don't understand is claiming superiority over an entire conference (which I believe we are BTW) but fans being against our team showing it on the field. Do some consider the risk unacceptable? I would certainly be 100% against considering accepting a bowl bid against any team from the SBC other than the conference champion. I don't think playing the SBC Champ, if it comes to that, will be the death knell of Louisiana Tech athletics.

Our best possible option, IMO, would be playing VA Tech in the Indy Bowl. At least they are 6-6.

I haven't looked at any other forums, but am quite sure our detractors are having fun with our bowl "situation." Of course, their perception and interpretation of what they read on BBB is fundamentally flawed, I am quite sure, and their assessments are as well.
