Again, at the college level, it's all about the QB. LSU didn't have a good QB last year, and it hurt them in the NC game. If they don't have a good QB this year, they'll go down in flames again.

Point being (since I have to explain itI don't think I said anything about LSU's offense, but thanks for your contribution to this thread, HD.).....LSU couldn't score many points on LA Tech's defense anyway. The puke & purple just doesn't have the kind of QB that could hurt us. Against Auburn, they scored less than half the points that ULM did. Consequently our offense wouldn't have to score much.
Just depends on the way we handle our business, but how about a BCS Bowl in which the Evil Empire takes on LATECH at a neutral field with some other conference's officals. This would be a best case scenario that would enable TECH to have a real legitamate chance.
Our Dawgs would chew up the chiggers and spit them out!
Even though this will get shredded (for not supporting these comments) I'll start by saying, I dont want to take ANYTHING away from Tech this season. The Bulldogs look fantastic. Better than I've ever seen. However, I guess you guys haven't seen LSU play this year. Honestly I would be surprised if they didn't play in the NC game. As much as you guys would hate to hear it, I really don't think Tech can beat LSU this year. Their defense is outstanding. Their QB much improved and their running game is vicious. I'm sorry. I'm glad Tech isn't playing them this year. Tech may be a hell of a lot stronger, but so is LSU. I'll leave it at that.
Mettenberger sucks and will cost them a shot at anything. Their defense is very good, running backs are very good, but their QB is terrible
Defense is the game changer... we have a better O, but a D that is incredibly inferior lm afraid...
I agree that we would have a tought time beating them, but I am not blown away with how good they are. They barely beat Auburn, who is mediocre. I know it is still early, and LSU definitely has the talent for the NC game, their QB and offensive performance leaves a lot to be desired. That being said, I am afraid they would be able to run on us, and we would have trouble moving the ball because it would be hard to get rhythm. I think it would be similar to the last time we played them with a few more points. However, I dont think they run us off the field. Hell, we could definitely compete with Auburn who just took LSU to the wire.
Tech offense vs. LSU defense. . . . and you wouldn't like to see that as a fan?

I've seen every Tech game. And I didn't say I wouldn't like to see them play. I just said they probably can't beat them this year.
It would only take a few turnovers for us to beat them. We can come from behind with our offense,LSU can't . Oscar Johnson just got hisLeft tackle test at Illinois and passed with flying colors.
Illinois doesn't have any linemen the caliber of Sam Montgomery. Not even close. Ok, I'm done responding.
