I've heard from multiple people that Coach Dawson has resigned from Louisiana Tech and is moving with her guy to accept a position in North Carolina. I wish her luck in her future endeavors.

Heard the same.
Looks like it's true. I wish her well.

I hope we conduct a legitimate national search and not settle for a rookie coach at minimum salary. Not only someone with experience but a coach who can build relationships in the community and recruit some of the local girls who have consistently gone to play in other programs.
Louisiana Tech University is seeking candidates for a full-time, 12-month position of Head Softball Coach. Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. Must have proven softball coaching experience, preferably at the Division 1 level. Must have the ability and experience to recruit Division 1 student-athletes with the potential to be successful in Conference USA. Must be organized and possess excellent communication skills. Candidates must have a commitment to athletic and academic success, knowledge of NCAA rules and bylaws. Minority coaches are encouraged to apply. Salary is commensurate with experience. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled. Submit cover letter, resume with 3 references, and unofficial transcript to the Search Committee, by email only to lori@latech.edu
Tech needs to get a ULL assistant or somewhere who actually knows how to run a successful program
Anyone heard any names of interested parties?
Let's shift some money around in the women's sports and go and get the skipper down at USL....

How long before a decision will be made
Already picked...it's someone's son-in-law's cousin's cousin that played t-ball one year when her Dad was on assignment in Norway.
I'm an asshole! What's your excuse?
Funny....glad we are committed to softball
