The Houston Chronicle reports today that starting QB Casey Pachall was suspended indefinitely after he was arrested early Thursday on a charge of driving while intoxicated. A TV station reported his blood-alcohol concentration at 0.17, more than twice the legal limit.
In August, Pachall apologized after a Fort Worth police report revealed that Pachall had admitted to failing a drug test in February. For the upcoming game against Iowa State, Pachall is likely to be replaced by sophomore Trevone Boykin. He has limited experience only completing 9 or 10 passes for 74 yards and rushed for 122 yards.
