This says Idaho Potato bowl against Toledo.
If we do what we should and finish 11-1 is there really any way we don't end up with a better bowl?

The people who project these bowls just look at our tie-ins and put us there. The WAC only has one tie in for it's first place team. They just plug us in there. We will end up filling in for some conference team that doesn't qualify enough teams to fill their tie-ins. We will not play in the potatoe bowl, San Jose or Utah St. will play there.
Phil Steele and Jerry Palm have been projecting the same thing all year. That's just their way of saying we'll win the WAC, as it is the only bowl tie-in. If you look at their other projections, they both have teams penciled into bowl games that probably won't even be bowl eligible at the end of the year. There will be quite a bit of wheeling and dealing this year, imo. Personally speaking, I think SJSU will take Navy's spot in the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl, USU will get Boise, and we will be dealt to something more regional. But, it will be mid- to late November before a lot of this starts to shake out.
Not that I wan Tech to play in the Idaho Bowl because I of course wish them to do better than that...but OMG it would be awesome personally for me because I could go see them for the first time in a long time!
BULLDOGS gon' BULLDOG
Utah St will probably end up in Idaho Bowl and San Jose might be an option Kraft Bowl in San Francisco. I believe Tech will end up in a closer bowl game
We had a good showing of Tech fans in San Diego last year... Awesome city, but hopefully we can get one a little closer to home this year. Lots of football left to be played.
Right now id guess big ten doesn't fill and we go to fort worth bowl.
Top Five bowls in no particular order, that could be up for grabs.
Military Bowl- Washington DC
Armed Forces- Fort Worth
Independence- Shreveport
HOD Bowl- Dallas
Liberty Bowl- Memphis
I see us going to a much better bowl...there will be some openings and our O will get many looks from bowl/tv executives.
Is the Cotton Bowl a possibility?
I wish!!! I love the Cotton Bowl!!!! The Indy Bowl is never a bad bowl for us especially against an ACC or SEC team. The Military bowl would be the least of my list, but would be good East Coast exposure and we would play a decent opponent.
