If Obama is elected Tuesday does this signify that we have gone over the cliff and there is no return? It seems to me that the takers have figured out that they can vote themselves free stuff and we have a very short time to make a correction. However if Obama is reelected, Obamacare goes into effect, and he appoints a couple more Supreme Court Justices to replace constitutional judges I'm afraid there will be no way to correct this. We will become a pure socialist country or be overtaken by one or be so week militarily that the Islamifacists achieve their world wide caliphate. Whatcha think?

I think America will be fine, no matter which candidate wins.

What is it that they say? In a democracy you get the exact government that you deserve? The bigger problem is the people...the President they prefer is only a symptom. Whoever wins, much work is to be done with the people.

That's what I think Johnny. The battle for Americans has already been won by the socialist. They control the schools, most of the media, and a good portion of the govenment. As the roll of the govenment expands and more and more people become dependent on the goverment for their very lives the die has been cast. If we are able to pull out the win and stem the tide we still have to make changes that will reverse the direction we are headed. It's not enough to just slow it down as has been tried in the past. We need a reversal.

But electing Romney is not enough. We have to find a way to change the people who keep putting these socialist in charge. We have to find a way to convience people that the ideal that America was founded on are the way to prosperity not colectivism.

We need to eliminate the need for government. We need to help out the less fortunate, the retirees, the widows and orphans and those ravaged by natural disasters.. through church and charity and volunteering. We do a good job of this as a nation, but we have to do better. We can't let that be the government's job or we are doomed.

We do not need to eliminate the need for government. It is impossible to do. What you do though is set the scope of the government.

That's what we are saying. The people are demanding big government. Some government is necessary, but what we have made it become is ridiculous (16 Trillion in the hole). If the people didn't see a need for government to care for them, they certainly would not demand it.
