My questions are these:
How much debt can we take on? Is there a point of no return? Is hyperinflation coming? What does the rebuilding look like?
I think this could turn out good if the federal government implodes like the Soviet Union did and all the states become sovereign nations. Is this what would happen? It would be like starting over.

America is not done, it was a hard fought election, it's part of the process that makes America great. The GOP still controls the House. Checks and balances
The Republicans are working against demographics, in some of the important swing states Hispanic voters increase by 2-5% while the White voter were down. The Democrats ground game won the election, they got out the young and minority vote. Even though I had hoped Romney would win realistically I didn't see it happening.

I don't want to make more than $250,000 a year. I don't want to own my own business. Things are seriously wrong if circumstances are making me feel this way.
We will add $4trillion in debt by 2016. Everyone's taxes will go up...not just for the rich. The healthcare and health insurance industries are going to collapse in some form under a fully implemented Obamacare.
Obama's plan to destroy Mitt Romney's character worked well enough. He was able to label Romney as a corporate raider and slander Romney's name for most of the summer while Romney's team didn't do enough to fight back the claims. The plan to scare women with birth control and abortion issues also worked.
While Obama won the battle by beating Romney last night, he doesn't have much of a mandate to govern going forward. The GOP still controls the House, and they can block Obama's agenda if they stand on their principles.
America isn't finished yet. The country suffered through four years of civil war and came back stronger than ever. The country suffered through 12 years of a Great Depression worsened by policies of Franklin Roosevelt and emerged after World War II as one of the two major superpowers in the world. I believe Americans can still be prosperous in spite of our Federal Government's actions, not because of them. America is still the great hope of the world. America isn't just a nation of people. America is an idea...an idea of freedom and liberty granted to each individual by their Creator. An idea of self-determination free of persecution from excessive and intrusive government.
We need to reject socialism as a nation. To do that, we must win over the minds of the people. Assistance must be handled by families, churches, and charities instead of government programs. People must realize that the best way to improve their own lives is through education and hard work, not by relying of others or government handouts.
If an addict decides to turn his or her life around, it is usually not until they hit rock bottom. The United States has not hit rock bottom yet. There's still a fiscal cliff coming shortly. Our foreign policy will bite us in the butt. The policies of Obama and his Democrat allies will take their toil for another four years. By then, hopefully the country will finally realize there is a better way going forward.
If taxes are raised, everyone's taxes SHOULD go up. It's the only way to make government responsible. Raising taxes on the rich is nothing more than a community organizer trick to create a straw man enemy and make everyone hate them and blame them for their plight. It's what community organizers do. The money collected from the rich wouldn't make a dent in our debt.
Now that the election is over, I just hope we can go back to calculating unemployment based on people that are actually unemployed (the way it is now, you could have a country where nobody has a job, and nobody is looking for one, so unemployment is zero) and start finding out what happened in Lybia. Maybe the MSM can get out of campaign mode (rah rah Obama) and start doing its job?
This is the same sick feeling I had both times Clinton went in and back in 2008.
Just a deeper hole to dig out of.
As others mentioned, demographics are the problem. I also gave too much credit to the union voters. They remain greedy and clueless. Combine that with lack of moral absolutes and we may not have many more chances.
