Tech jumps from 23 to 18 in the USA Today poll

Substituting the USA Today poll percentage for the Harris Poll percentage puts Tech at 21 in projected BC$ standings. But I believe UCLA will jump Tech since it will get significant computer poll points to few if any for Tech.

ULM still getting votes with 3 losses to unranked teams? Weird.
UL is not getting any love. ESPN used the expression "the four remaining unbeatens" several times this morning. Well, okay, even if you don't think UL is a top 5 team, they are still "unbeaten."
And, IMO, they have the top 4 right. And, if there was a 4-team playoff this year and the season was over, it would be:
#1 Bama vs #4 ND
#2 Oregon vs #3 K State
Of course, if the playoffs existed, I would advocate the Top 18 qualify!
Tech vs Stanford
Neb vs Texas
in play-in games, creating a 16-team field.
Tech tied with Texas for 19 in the AP poll, up from 22 last week.

Yeah, the coaches' poll has it Romney 53-47!
Did not expect to jump that much in the coaches poll!
I see 18 in the coaches poll
Key matchups to watch for teams just ahead/below of us in the Coaches Poll:
#9 LSU vs. #23 Mississippi State
#10 Louisville at Syracuse (last remaining Big East team with no losses)
#11 South Carolina vs. Arkansas
#12 Oregon State at #15 Stanford (loser should fall below Tech, if Tech wins against Texas State)
#13 Oklahoma vs. Baylor
#14 Texas A&M at #1 Alabama (it would be great if A&M won in order to boost the computer rankings. However, A&M would fall below Tech if A&M loses, provided Tech wins)
#16 Nebraska vs. Penn State (only Big Ten team ranked ahead of LA Tech)
#17 Texas vs. Iowa State
#19 UCLA at Washington State
#20 Rutgers vs. Army
#21 Northwestern vs. Michigan
#22 USC vs. Arizona State
We need the bottom feeder SEC schools to lose.
When is the Harris poll updated?
Sometime this afternoon.
From Harris Poll voters:
Jay Walker (Lafayette) moved LA Tech from #24 to #21.
Joe Gottfried (ex-South Alabama AD) moved LA Tech from #19 to #17.
Tommy Hicks (Mobile Press-Register, Alabama) moved Tech from #24 to #22.
Adam Jude (The Oregonian) moved Tech from #20 to #19.
Nate Kreckman (102.3 ESPN in Denver) has Tech unchanged at #25.
