You may still have the man crush on Dooley, but you have been drinking too much orange kool-aid if you believe they are comparable.
His 2nd paragraph was comparing Dooley's records at Tech and at Tennessee, not Dooley and Dykes.

    From NBC Sports: http://collegefootballtalk.nbcsports...oss-to-mizzou/

    From NBC Sports: http://collegefootballtalk.nbcsports...ver-9-million/

Evan Woodbery of the Knoxville News-Sentinel did a little number-crunching and determined that if Tennessee was fire Dooley and his assistants, the university would have to pay “at least $5.6 million, and perhaps as much as $9.3 million, over the next four years…”
According to sources listed by NBC Sports, it's not a matter of if Tennessee fires Dooley but when. The main question now is finding the right time to make the announcement.

That's such a waste of money. If the AD that hired Dooley is still around, he should be fired too.

Mike Hamilton resigned in 2011. He was responsible for Fulmer's dismissal, the Lane Kiffin era, and hiring Dooley.

I thought so. Wow. That guy was responsible for a lot of damage at Tennessee in a relatively short amount of time.

He was also there when the recruiting violations involving men's head coach Bruce Pearl were discovered.

In short order Dooley has gone from drinking champagne with boosters to drinking water from a water hose.

    Bingo, Bingo, and Bingo.

If Tennessee is DUMB enough to pay this much money, then fire the AD, etc. As much as I hate to say it, the guy (DD) "counted noses and kicked asses" around our place getting some things started that had a lot of opposition from our ADMIN, and who'd have guessed 3 years ago that we'd be in the top-20??? I think even the ADMIN is enjoying our new found status in the football world. Good for them. It'd cost a hell of a lot to get our names on the ESPN runners several times a day as the "no. 20 team".

Which is the reason Dooley is there now instead of a real coach. Tennessee better do what Arkansas is about to do and spend whatever it takes.
