Brad Edwards has the Bulldogs to face La-Monroe in the Independence Bowl in this bowl projections....... OUCH!!! To go from potential BCS bowl to playing the school 30 minutes down the road would have to be disheartening to say the least.

Who the hell is Brad Edwards?
If LA Tech ends up in the Potato Bowl against Toledo, I can honestly say I'll be done. That's about as anti climatic as it gets for a team so close to a BCS bowl bid.
Pure speculation!
This is why you should ignore all of those bowl projections. The so-called "experts" are clueless.
1. Regarding Mark Schlabach's projection, Utah State's AD has already said that USU will be playing in the Potato Bowl.
2. Regarding Brad Edwards' projection, we would never accept a bowl invitation to play ULM.
Didn't take long

ULM/Northeast/that university off of Desiard St./WTF is that...oh the Library) could still go to a bowl? I thought only 2 teams could go from sunbelch.
It would be their superbowl.
(I like that I can actually say that about other teams - tired of hearing it mentioned pertaining to us)
Not that I would like for it to happen - pretty sickening to think of it.
ESPN would never allow this to happen, at least according to past precedent. It was the same deal back in 2008 for the Indy Bowl when ULahLah claimed that they should have been selected to play us; they were bowl eligible, but ESPN said that having 2 teams from the same state would be a ratings killer--they went with Northern Illinois to try to get the Chicago TV market, which did not work out very well. Still, ESPN would undoubtedly follow the same plan again.
