Yep saw it myself. Absolute insanity from the Big East. I think Tulane is just trying to dodge an instate ass whooping from the Dawgs , oh well best of luck to the Green Wave!
The basketball schools will just love that move.
I think the large number of Northeastern students that go there make this move slightly logical for the Big East. Still this just goes to show you on field performance doesn't mean a damn thing.
From ESPN's Joe Schad (@schadjoe)
"Tulane will join Big East for all sports"

Saw this retweet from BTB:
@ScottDKushner: Source very close to #Tulane says today's 1 p.m. press conference is to announce its entry into the Big East conference.
Maybe we can go ahead and be in the East now and take Tulane's conference schedule.
This is why my enthusiasm for our entry into CUSA was tempered. I even posted then this is a watered-down version, which could quickly get worse with more defections. My biggest fear was losing USM, which can still happen.
I thought the Big Least was supposed to blow-up, not CUSA! So much for a regional conference.
I predicted this move, if it actually happens, a few months ago. With the recent Big East defections, I figured Tulane and ECU would be targets to back-fill that conference. USM would be on their radar too!
I don't think the Big Least will survive. That's going to be the most far flung conference in history. From North to South and East to West. Idaho, California, Tennessee, Louisiana, Florida, New York etc. They need to rename it the "we have no natural rivalries conference", or the "Our travel partner is 300 miles away" conference
