BREAKING: East Carolina will join Big East as football-only in 2014. Tulane in all sports.
I don't think the Big Least will survive. That's going to be the most far flung conference in history. From North to South and East to West. Idaho, California, Tennessee, Louisiana, Florida, New York etc. They need to rename it the "we have no natural rivalries conference", or the "Our travel partner is 300 miles away" conference
Big East is going to be bad, but CUSA will now look a lot like the Sun Belt.
I predicted this move, if it actually happens, a few months ago. With the recent Big East defections, I figured Tulane and ECU would be targets to back-fill that conference. USM would be on their radar too!

Toolame's attendance couldn't get any worse, but at least they'll be getting clobbered by a new batch of foes. Maybe that will build some excitement around the program?
My God!! This is ridiculous! I can't imagine what any of these parties are thinking. I hope MWC and CUSA can strike a deal now, so we don't have to invite belt schools. This sucks!

Maybe we should be begging the Big East right now. We would give them some power in football and, if they are going to destroy CUSA, we don't need to stay either. It appears it will be a local conference for us with Houston, SMU, and Tulane. We just need to get them to invite us and Southern Miss. I don't care about Rice.
Wow. I actually didn't see this one coming. Tulsa makes so much more sense and Tulane is one of the reason to get out of Conference USA. If I had to guess, it'd have to do with history (Tulane going pretty far back with the Metro/GWC contingent), but still. ECU not so much a surprise.
This could be good news for ULL.

Not a big loss. About like losing FIU. Even their baseball sucks now. They are running from us.
