It's hard to imagine the Big 12 and ACC staying at only 10 teams. They will want 12 and a conference championship game.

There is virtually no chance that ULM or Troy would get an invite to Conference USA (especially with UAB as a member). I'd probably put South Alabama in that category. New Mexico State would be less unlikely. Georgia State, too.

I don't see the BE taking Marshall unless they become too good to ignore. I'd consider Rice pretty unlikely, too. In the event that the BE does start taking these schools, I would say that BSU/SDSU/Navy are no longer a part of the equation and Louisiana Tech is already in.

Read in several places the Big XII is going to hold in place for the next 10 years or so (happy with TV contract I guess). ACC could pull up UConn and Cincinatti, but I think Boston College is blocking UConn.

I think at this point we need to cheer on the ACC expansion and hope we can get into the Big East with the rest of CUSA.

Yeah, but the right even number can be 12. And it's a question of order. If the BE needs a warm body, it's LaTech before Marshall, UAB before Rice, NMSU and GSU before Troy and ULM, and so on.

What possible room does ULM to be laughing at anybody? They're in the conference that has no choice but to take from FCS. Not even *good* FCS. And they're at or close to the bottom of the list of schools that Conference USA would take.

(Okay, SBC can take NMSU, too, but there's only one NMSU.)
