Central Michigan a 6-6 team going their local bowl in Detroit but I-bowl didn't wait for us. That is not right and sucks.
If you really want to know the reason this happened look right back at us. Don't crucify me for my opinion, because it is just that.
1. We should have handled our business to go 12-0 or 11-1. We would have had multiple offers.
2. Don't judge our team by the record, obviously non of the bowl committees did.
We had fun this season, We were fun to watch, mostly. Our kids deserved a bowl and had one in hand. We just didn't want the sure thing badly enough to lock it up, apparently.
I'm sure Central Michigan said yes when they got the call too.
You know, the Indy actually made a sound decision because I believe it is possible that influential Tech supporters would have "requested" that Tech decline the invitation even knowing that it meant staying home.
And no, if it would have occurred it would not have been for petty, self-centered reasons, and it would not have been without regard to the players, but it would have been because they have a broader view than the many ninnies on this Board.
