Interesting article. If in fact the WAC commissioner has an email from the Liberty Bowl Ex Director that states they will take us no matter what...that's the smoking gun. Interesting...
If they were going to take us no matter what then why wait until Sunday? We should have required them to officially invite us and nail it down! This is ridiculous! Also this story comes after 24 hours of spin and no mention of this tale until about 3 pm today. Unbelievable, what will the story be tomorrow? Independence bowl never really offered no used that one already. Blame it on the WAC used that one, it was Sonny and DR's decision too, used that one.
No, the WAC commish sent an email backing Bruce's claim. No email on record from Lib bowl.
If such an email exists from the Lib Bowl, why isn't litigation being considered?

You need to get out of Ruston and get some air. We're not the laughingstock of anybody but some haters in Monroe, Shreveport and Lafayette - all inconsquential media backwaters. Not a mention of Tech anywhere in the Dallas metroplex. Get over it.

In my own opinion, that article shows that our AD got snowed. This sort of event would not happen to an AQ school. We need an AD that can play with the big boys. However, this happened, I still think it's the fault of our own AD. The AD is responsible for securing this. He can't get caught with his pants down.
Anyone else think it's a little weird that Van De Velde says things like "...I’m going to go to the I-Bowl" and now you can "see what’s happening to me is a little unjust."
It seems to be all about him. Why does he not refer to the team or program and "we" or "us"? This whole thing stinks to high hell for you LTU fans and most importantly for your players.
