Has anyone on twitter asked @LATechPWalsh when we will break ground? I don't have a twitter or I would ask him.

You should include a rolling count of the days.
Sorta like this? :
I hope that is correct. Just sayin' if they are using the Mayan calendar to lay out the time table, one might understand the delay.

That's right. HogDawg gives talks in front of crowds every week. I can quickly recognize when a speaker is in trouble. I don't think it's asking too much for our new PRESIDENT OF THE UNIVERSITY to be able to string a few sentences together without tripping over himself. Dr. Guice needs to sharpen his game.
It's truly amazing that people on this board are willing to compromise the reputation of our beloved university simply because they "like the local guy" who is now prez. I've got nothing against Dr Guice. In fact, I'm reasonably pleased with his appointment. But, whether YOU like it or not, I DO expect the new president of our university to be able to give a short speech without sounding like an 8th grader talking to his school principal.

Hyperbole?

HD, I had the exact same thoughts. I noticed the same thing during the presidential interviews. The guy without the vowels appeared much bolder and more confident than Guice. The primary responsibility of a university president in the 21st century is to be a fund raiser. That means it is very important for our president to be an excellent salesman.
Our leaders couldn't get us into a bowl game at 9-3. Our search committee led by Guice couldn't convince Josh Heupel to be our coach and got turned down by him twice. Holtz wasn't even contacted until a week into the search. There's no telling how many coaches told us no thanks.
However, our fans think these same leaders can deliver a Big East invitation? Ok. If Guice truly gets athletics, he would have BVDV fired immediately and have a new savvy AD hired by the end of January. It will be too late if our admin waits for BVDV's contract to expire. A lame duck ADBVDV teamed up with an in-house president-elect will not land us in the Big East. It's also imperative that we break gound on Q4E prior to signing day.

Wow. I am just as concerned that we offered the job to Heupel. Don't get what everyone sees in the two OU co-coordinators. What made Heupel so attractive? That team constantly under achieves.
Other than message board chatter, do we know if the story of us offering him once and then twice is true?
